About Read Up

Read Up, Greenville is an annual celebration of Young Adult and Middle Grades books and authors. By bringing teens in close contact with authors through book signings, panels and interactive events, the festival will encourage youth to continue their love for reading and hopefully encourage non-readers to become readers.

Read Up is a day of celebration. There will be book sales, author signings, panel discussions and keynote speakers. The day will feature multiple panels specific to different themes. One panel may focus on graphic novels and another on romance YA books.

UPCOMING EVENTS

  • Read Up All Year book talk and signing with Jeff Zentner and Kathleen Glasgow

    08/19/2017 | 2:00 PM at M. Judson

We’re excited for another Read Up All Year event, hosted by our friends at M. Judson, featuring Nashville writer Jeff Zentner, whose new novel, Goodbye Days, asks what would you do if you could spend one last day with someone you lost. Jeff will be in conversation with Tucson writer Kathleen Glasgow, whose novel Girl in Pieces is a deeply moving portrait of a girl in a world that owes her nothing, and has taken so much, and the journey she undergoes to put herself back together. We’ll have the opportunity to hear the story behind both books, as well as ask questions about process and inspiration.
